Why would I waste time with a test forum? I want it so that it's only selectable by the admin and that way I am viewing the new skin I'm working on, while regulars are only allowed to use the default vb skin. Then when I'm done I add the new skin so that it's available to users. Isn't that possible without a test forum? I just assumed it was.

My problem is, how do I create the one so that it doesn't use the same header and footer, etc. of the original default VB template,style, skin whatever?
