Hmm, at least in Germay this is not always the case. Posts that are general small-talk and such don't qualify as copyrighted works according to german copyright laws as they are missing "Geistige Sch?pfungsh?he".
So generally if there are disputes, Users have to poof that Copyright laws are applicable - otherwise the board owner can use their posts as he wants.
