Ughhh..
That kind of worked, but now i'm getting an error (i've removed debug, etc.)

Unable to add cookies, header already sent.

when i try to get into a forum...
but i haven't touched the forum bits?!

i know i deserve a smack. i was feeling overconfident and promptly fell on my a*se

i've just reinstalled the config.php file. i'm not sure what happened... but it's sorted now.
