Is there an order in which I should edit the files.. It says not to run the install until both global edits are made.. Should I edit global.php and admincp/global.php and then run the install, and THEN edit the rest of the files..

I was editing the files and then all of a sudden I got an error on line 700 something on inti.php... When I reverted that to the backup of init, I got database errors.. I reverted all file edits back until I hopefully get an answer here..
