ok bit lame here just to be sure then
RC1.0 folder
has global.php and index.php
and a backup and admin folder

now those two files need to go to the root of the forum folder?

and admincp folder holds
index.htm and index.php that needs to go in admincp folder right?

Just to be sure before I overwrite them?
