A suggestion to Link:

It should be entirely possible to remove the need to "add a field" to the user table, and just add one to the profile field table now that a bug i reported allows the dm_user class to access to private/uneditable profile fields.

Saves a field, i guess

(and allows for more complicated storage like song title, song album, song artist, song length, and so on.)
