I am working on a style that requires a border around each page (showthread, forumhome, etc._

I can easily put a table around these pages and get it looking perfect. The problem is, the huge table doesn't display until EVERYTHING inside has been parsed by the browser. So, it makes the page look incredibly slow.

Has anybody worked out a way to get a border around all of the content without making the page appear slower than molasses? I have tried breaking things into smaller table chunks, but everything is out of whack.
