It's not the product but other items. First let's talk about support here, vbulletin.org, et. al. I can't view any pictures or attachments because even though my email addresses are listed as requested, I can't be verified as a licenseholder for some odd reason. Whatever. I've had enough of the constant dealing with fixing this crap.
The copyright: Technically there shouldn't any problem with my board at all. But over the years I've found that several "enthusiasts" who have become part of vBulletin cannot help remind all of us little people (roflmao) that they are now associated with the King (I'll bet 1 in 100,000 people might have heard of vB) and must mention alleged copyright violations at every opportunity in their replies. Not only are private message not sent to license holders but there is such a big stink made out of such small issues. All the essentials are in there but now it is not according to their "letter of the law" for minimum display, which is longer than our other copyrights. Invisionboard allows much more flexibility and if I even don't want the copyright to display the total cost will be $350 compared to $800 or so (probably more now) that vBulletin is seeking.
As far as ease of use goes, I've found that most users who are not bbs savvy are confused by all the options that VB has put in there. Many don't care for the investment in time to learn how to use the board and the users really don't need most of the features.
