Would it be possible, through a template hack, to make it compulsary for the user to choose a Message Icon when posting a thread? I was thinking perhaps Javascript might be necessary, but I'm not sure where to start...

I'm seeing waaay too many default icon threads, and it looks really dull on the forum listing.

It would be preferable if this was was only compulsary on new threads. I'm considering removing message icons from replies altogether.
