to be exact, go to your cp click on Styles/Modify/[fonts/colors/etc].
scroll down to Page Layouts, then to the Body Tag. You will see domething like this

<body background="images/1background.gif" bgproperties="fixed" text="#000000" id="all" leftmargin="10" topmargin="10" marginwidth="10" marginheight="10" link="#000020" vlink="#000020" alink="#000020">

the images/1background.gif is the backgorund of the page
