That's why I suggested that the poll poster has the option to allow or disallow the additions. I agree that in many polls it would be bad. But let's say there are lots of options, so say you post a poll

What's your favorite color,

1. Red
2. Green
3. Blue

And you want to let other people add other colors, they can do it. If you don't want them to, they can click on the option "No one can add options to your poll" or words to that effect.
