This is why I hate WYSIWYG. Go into your User CP, click on Edit Options, and, under "Message Editor Interface," choose "Standard Editor - Extra Formatting Controls."

Now you should be able to go back and edit the post, and all the formatting will show up as BB code. Is that what you needed? No need for a hack/plugin/mod.
