My forums has a 3 monthly Awards session, this has been goin on the last few years, what we do is we create categories like "Bes Signature" and stuff, and we ask the members to send in their top 3 (ie: 1st, 2nd, 3rd) nominations, in every category, after a week or so, we tally the votes and release the winners. Of cours eno one actually 'wins' anything except a little logo or they put it in their sigs. But the problem is, we're getting rather large, and before, we sent in nominations by PM or Email, and then finalized the voting by a series of polls..

Now 2 reasons that sucks, 1) The person running thr awards (a different staff member every time) is overwhelmed by emails and pms, the voters tend to not bother voting anymore cause they can't be bothered sending emails, and our polls forum is filling up rather quickly.

I would like to know if there's a hack available, or will someone make one, where as you could click a link in a persons postbit, and then nominate that person for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in a list of categories, then that person is added to a list that only the person running the contest can see and moderate. Then the person who votes would automatically not be allowed to vote again on that category.

It needs to be flexible to allow admins to create categories, and to activate and deactivate the hack. It also needs to be permission based but not on usergroups but individual masks, as only 1 person at a time runs the contest. It's sort of an.. 'initiation' on our board for the newest senior staff members lol (yes the 'new guy' gets all the paperwork)
