i suggest you sign up for an account at cafepress. everything is explained there. you set your profit margin. for example, cafepress states that there cost to produce a mug for you is $1.00. well, you will have the option to add whatever additional margin, either dollar amount or percentage.

so, as stated by someone earlier, the margin is up to you. you can charge no margin and list the mug for $1.00 which goes directly to cafepress and you get nothing. cafepress does all the sourcing, production, shipping and packaging.
