I was actually replying to the series of posts above talking about the formatting issue, but I also have a suggestion for your problem. Check to make sure the templates used in each custom module is listed. Without these, they won't be cached and load times will increase. Also try using the stock vb style and see if the speed increases. If it does, you'll need to see what else in that particular style may be causing problems.
