go into your admincp / styles and stuff / go into your specific style and select the main style var option from the drop down.

Scroll down and you will see the place you can enter the path. By defaults its /images/etc.jpg which is relative to your forum home but you can add the full path http://www.mysiterocks.com/forum/images.etc.jpg if your calling the images from a front page above or outside the forum directory.
