I think you mean the image GD library installed? Since that features uses GD functions to create an image on the fly.

You can change the setting in the vb admin cp:
vBulletin Options -> Server Settings and Optomization Options ->

Quote:

GD Version
Version of GD installed on your server. You can find the version by searching for 'GD' on your phpinfo() output.

Either do what it says there to find out your GD version or ask your host/server admin
