as for making adding a cron in your admincp;
scheduled tasks -> add new scheduled task -> <look below>
Title: threadBOT
Day of the Week: * (unless you have a specific day you want it to run on)
Day of the month: * (unless you're setting it to run once a month)
Hour: 17 (which will run it as five o'clock pm everyday)
Minute: *
Log Entries: Yes
Filename: ./includes/cron/threadBOT.php

click save and you're done.
