There are some advantages to using vB 2.3.x, as opposed to 3.0.x

One of those is the fact that it is alot easier to upgrade as far as custom hacks are concerned, as there are a lot less files to be modified...

I also find vB 2.3.x and earlier easier to modify than 3.0.x, then thats because I learnt to code on vB 2 and have never really had at it with vB3

Also, if you have a site as large as WebHostingTalk, the work involved with upgrading it would take days to get ready, and its not worth it just yet
