vb.org Archive - View Single Post - posts marked read at logout

I have noticed that all threads that are unread will be marked read at logout or when your session expires. I found a couple threads on vbulletin.com regarding this and the answer seemed to be "this will require custom coding, check over at vbulletin.org". I searched here but didn't find anything.
Those Beta testing the board I'm setting up really didn't like all the posts getting marked as read even though they haven't been read yet and I tend to agree. Has anyone changed this behaviour in vbulletin or found a way around this?
