Agreed that if it is dangerous to the site a moderator should be able to come in and take care of business. If 6 months from now, however, I were to buy vB (already done, of course), I would want to be able to come and see what was out there before to enhance the default vB.
Is it appropriate to keep it around simply because it was once a good and popular hack? That is the 54 Million Dollar question here. The answer is easy: Yes. Now, this is my opinion. They were made because they were thought to be useful. Maybe they are not "current" because it worked well before or everyone has them. Everyone, that is, that already owns vB. What about the next guy that buyus it? Is it fair to say that he cannot get a hack that was made because a few people's opinions are "it has outlived its usefullness"? I do not think so.
I respect your opinion as I have my own. If you took previous posts as an attack, it was not meant so. I just hope that vB.org does not remove hacks so the next guy that wants to buy vB has the opportunity to decide on his own what is good for his site or not.
