When one turns off the board by setting the Forum Active ==> NO , there is an option for entering the reason. What i wanted it to do was for it to display the username of the person who is logged in and if not logged in to display guest.

Ie. for logged in user.

Dear Primal Rage, this forum is currently Closed.

Ie. Guest

Dear Guest, this forum is currently closed.

Is this possible ?? I tried using variables but it just won't work...
