This is an idea for a hack to track collections - of anything collectible (DVDs, games, albums, cards). The point is to make sites stickier by allowing users to maintain collections of stuff, find out who has what they might need and who has similar stuff and possibly to hook up traders with one another.

1. Users can decide whether their collections viewable and how:
a. by anyone
b. only to people on their buddy list
c. only to people logged in users
d. only to them.
e. by password

2. User can have a
a. owned list
b. wishlist
c. will trade list

3. Users can suggest new collectibles

4. admin can
a. moderate new product additions
b. create new categories for collections

5. Database stuff
a. Each collectible has six fields defined by the system:
description, title, manufacturer, SKU, picture and category to which it belongs
b. and a couple fields that the users can enter for their items
quantity, Purchase price, condition, value, asking price

c. Each category has a
description and title
