To go v1 or 2 to v3 (the current release) then yes, run the install script and uninstall.

For this upcoming release (3.5) I am going to try to do an upgrader along the installer lines though in all honesty it may just be easier and faster to grab fresh files to hack as it is done automatically.

I want to get the version finalised first and then the last thing I will do is the upgrader. Ill have more info then
