i basically wish to see how much feature rich it is.
will it connect to multiple news servers? will it detect duplicate posts across different news servers, and download them only once.
limit number of posts per day on per usergroup/membership level basis.

i also wish to know if the mod can be further modded easily in order to add more desired features or lot of hardcoding/ bad coding standards are followed...

can you share with me the url of that really big site? i will get a user perspective atleast.
