I read that someone's click through rate was higher on the archive section.
I set up channels to monitor my click throughs.
I have had 0 clicks in the archives. Most of my clicks are on my vBadvanced portal page, then comes the forum.

So your mileage may vary.
I have my google ads in the footer for what it is worth.

I don't think Google's search engine has anything to do with it.
It is not that you are looking to attract people to your archive.
You would like people to click on the ads.
