Recently I ran across a post where someone was suggesting a particular piece of useful software that will allow you to compare, for example, two different files and highlight differences between the two. Very useful for comparing your hacked and unhacked files.

I think it was much more sophisticated than just that - perhaps being able to compare entire directories and stuff.
