Does anybody know how the attachment file system within VB works?

I am using a hack that is similar to the newthread.php but different. It is actually a form/poll poster by ERWIN. What I want to do is allow users to upload images into their post. I know I have to edit a few files, and cut and paste code from newthread.php and the newthread templete.

I was wondering if anyone would know what code I had to cut?
