Or, as is evidenced in AN-Net's Journal hack, add bugfixes/important posts to the first post in the thread, with links and explanations.
As we see the first post on every page now, that would be an excellent quick-ref point for people.
Now, if only we could trust everyone to
a) search the thread using the tool provided or
b) read the first post
Then all would be well...I remember when I needed to ask stupid questions, and although I may look at many many posts and think 'Duh! If you can't see the hack on your non-default templates, obviously you need to edit those too you moron!', we were all (well most of us anyway) at that stage in the beginning.
