vb.org Archive - View Single Post - View User Profiles but Restrict memberlist

i want to limit access to the memberlist and memberlist search to members of certain usergroups (secondary usergroups to be exact). however, i do have "Can View Member Info" set to yes b/c i want users to be able to View User Profiles.

i found a post in the vb2 Code Modifications forum that appears to do this. it is here:

does someone know how this code would need to be updated to work in vb3 or suggest another way to do this in vb3?
