no really. You don't need to see it every page, and when it's set to minimise it expands the next page, to full size, making scrolling past it a pain every page transition.

The side bar also screws up the entire layout.

The minimize option needs to go to a cookie for it to retain its position on all pages, its only been up a day, the kinks will get worked out in time
