In my FTP, there are folders called _vti_cnf inside every folder that contain backups of the files in that directory. This is interfering with a hack I have installed, called "Link to us in a nutshell". This hack calls for all files in this folder and displays them on a web page. It's meant only for images, but it also calls this folder, which creates an ugly broken link image, instead of displaying a picture. If I delete this folder the problem is corrected, at least for a time. Ask your host to remove frontpage extensions from your account
