In house we use WD Seagate (SCSI's) and IBM Drives for the IBM laptops and they all work relitively well.

The IBM HDD in my G4 at work died horribly, at which point it was removed, and then "disassembled with extreme force." I had a Western Digital die on me, but I think it was a power surge, not the drive itself.

But, each to his own experiences, of course. I've heard people say Maxor is junk and WD is the best, and exactly the opposite.
