Also is there anyway by default when a user posts a ticket that it will automatically be assigned to a status like "Awaiting Feedback", ect. and then from there my staff can sort through it and close it or what not?

You need to go to the "vBulletin Options" and then to "vBugs" Options and set the default status there. As for your error, I cannot duplicate it so it may be that you have set your vBugs Options yet in the vBulletin Options.
