Default Server up-time counter...
Not purely a vb idea, but something I could do with.

Our cursed server has been playing up again, going down unexpectedly and returning also unexpectedly.

I was about (admin) but the admin owner wasn't about, and so doesn't know quite what period of outage to complain about.

I bet a hack could be written to do something like ping a remote location and get a response, when it doesn't due to the server not functioning, a log entry created.

e.g
PING AOL.COM @ 00:00 Good
PING AOL.COM @ 00:05 Timed out
PING AOL.COM @ 00:10 Good

etc etc

A more advanced system would stick up an annoucement, or something in the header saying "sorry, the server was down for (X) minutes today from time X to time Y"

That's the VB intergration part really.

The logs would ideally be viewable in the stats section of the admincp.
