Anyone know how to hack phpmychat to work on vb3?

Currently it is working like example on www.southportforums.com/

Please look on "live chat" to see how it works rather than me try to explain it. Should prevent misunderstandings.

a) needs to integrate into database (create new tables)

b) needs to automate login

c) needs to display who is chatting on forum pages.

EDIT: Anyone know what kind of performance hit putting the "who is chatting" on the forums makes?
