Hmm ... I just made a little test (dropped my setting table) and the board is still working fine, except there are some DB erros in the admin control panel.

For normal operation, the setting table is not required AFAIK as all settings are cached in datastore.

So it should be possible to export a default setting table into you production board to get it back working, you might also want to replace the values in this fresh table with the cashed ones.
