Well, actually we can do this:
Forcing hack authors to give support on their released hacks here on vb.org.
What will be the result? Well, quite easy: a lot of authors won't release their hacks anymore...
Remember, that everyone is giving those hacks out for free. They spend time on them to create them, write the installscripts and so on, for nothing.
So to come to an ending: Nope, we won't change the rules here, as we think it's better to have a lot of hacks for free, even with no support, than having just a few hacks, but with top support.
Also i want to add: This board here is also a users helping users board. We the author doesn't support his hack, du to any reason, i know there are others, which give the helpsearching users a hand or two..
So i don't think that we have a bad situation here...
we as vb.org, can maybe try to come up with a better system for support threads and such (which is already planned, but lack of time is holding us back....)
I hope i can work on that, when i have my holidays in about a month..
