That may in itself be a reason for me to upgrade to vb3.
If you ever get the chance to release this as a self contained CMS that would rock so hard. I've got several sites, but only the one runs a VB. All the rest don't need one so it's not worth the price to get a vb for them. I haven't found a CMS that I like compared to webtemplates.
Maybe you know of something already out there that is similar?

I don't plan to add new features in version 3 because I want it convertible easily from version 2 for people who already uses that version. So I try to keep them exactly same in features but just make it work under vb3.
I also do not plan to make it as a self contained CMS because frankly speaking I don't have a reason to do recode it to seperate from vb.

I use vb in my site and webtemplates is initially designed for my own site's usage like all my other hacks. It is also not a commercial product so why should I recode it to change its structure and make it self contained? ^^ Besides there are really plenty of free and commercial CMS scripts so there is tough competetion in that market. But I honestly appreciate your kudos for webtemplates.
If you want to find a similiar script, you can start browsing here:

Last time I checked there was 450 PHP CMS scripts there. Plenty right? hehe
