It's not that simple.

You have two forums. Are both forums installed on their own database? If so, you'd have to make two connections for every page to link the databases together, and furthermore structurally redesign vBulletin to be compatible with this.

It's a load of work, and hardly worth it.

How about just have one forum, and combine both forums into it? Are subforums not enough?
