Hey, we're trying to set up a bunch of leader led public groups on our message board. The problem is there is no notification for the person that requests to join the group. They make the request and the next time they check their Group Memberships in their CP, they've either been added or it says "join now" again.

We're having two problems with this. One, the group leaders would like to explain why someone is declined membership. Two, people think something went wrong and keep trying to join the same group.

If there were a hack that creates a notification that a person's request to join a group has been declined it would be so helpful
