Is there a way to only allow certain age groups to view a forum or can this be made?

I want an over 18s forum, so at registration i have that they have to input there birthday and if over 18 they will be allowed to view certain forums, if not then they will not be able to see them at all. I know that once regged they can change there birthdate BUT if they cant see the forum at all if under 18, it just doesnt appear on forum home, then they are less likely to know any difference and leave it as they inputed it at registration.

Please someone help with this.
