I would suggest creating a new additional usergroup, based on the supermods, and add is administrator, then you will need to assing the admin permissions to him AdminCP > usergroup > adminstrator permissions

This way, not all your supermods will have access to the admincp, however with 0 admin permissions its more usless than the modcp
