An Appendix is something that adds on to what something is about and should be at the end of your report. (I know that's not the greatest defination, but it's the best I could come up with. )

An example of what an appendix could be is maybe you list some definations of some words that you decided to use in your report, that is not common knowledge. Also, Maps, Diagrams, Illustrations, Tables, and Lists all would be appropriate for an appendix.
