AN-net...could the permission to view be changed on an entry later by the journalist?
What I am thinking is that this would allow journalists to keep entries "hidden" if they want to work on a "rough draft" version of something. Then later, when they have polished their words, they might "publish" them by changing the viewing/comments permissions.
And in a separate issue:
Will it be possible to list say 25 of the journalist's entries with a "view all entries" link to keep things tidy?
And could you keep the word "journal" template driven? So, that the admin can call journals whatever we want? Say..."reports" or "journals" or "articles" IF you have ruled out letting admin define categories?

I agree that most will want only registered users to be allowed to have journals or to post comments. However, what remains "private" on a public forum may really depend on the nature of your board and the way you use the journal system to cater to your members. Some use the journal system as a "diary" for members to record their personal thoughts, which they may not wish to share with the community. I suppose it all depends on your purpose and the needs of your community as you perceive them.
