on my site i use https and http

when people upload in http the people downlaoding in https have problems (currupted downloads) and vice versa... i have told them but its becoming a nightmare with complaints

i looked at a few templates but was not 100% sure which ones to edit or if a file edit would do this ?

basicly i would like it to download and upload in http only for everyone ... so if a person is using https i would like it hardcoded to open the attachment popup with a http popup

and then when download from the thread page hardcode it so the download is a http download only

i hope that makes sense
