there are two things to keep in mind when installing this on 3.0 gold:
1. set the version in the two xml files.
2. one bit of the find/replace code referenced in the install does not exsist exactly as expected in 3.0 gold. it's worded a bit differently in gold but its still there, you just have to look for it. it i remeber correctly this was one of the last steps of the install and i think the bit of code you are looking for is at the very end of the file.

VBDEV: im not sure how to replicate the custom block bug, but it has hapened to me twice. i had a custom block running and all was good. then i created a second custom block, clicked submit, and it overwrote the first custom block and created a new block as well. so i was left with 2 identical custom blocks.
