Well, now that I have been called out, I had to look further to see what I was missing out on.

I am having an issue with some image paths in the last posts block that I haven't been able to figure out. Take a look: http://www.modernengineuity.com/index.php?

BTW, I changed $vbdhome_headinclude to headinclude, $homeheader to $header and $homefooter to $footer to get the portal to use the forum header, but I don't know if it's causing other problems.
