The best thing about vb is the hacking community here,... tons of experts around when ya need it =p

When we started with vb, we didn't know much about php but vbulletin is well coded and after installing a few hacks, you kind of get a feel for where everything is and what certain things do.

The hacks themselves are usually well documented so installing them isn't to bad. Once you pick up on it, even the harder hacks arent to difficult imho.
