vb.org Archive - View Single Post - Displaying variables in the header. How ???

I would like to display variables such as:

Total Members, Total Threads, Total Posts

Username, UserPosts, UserPoints, User PMs

Possibly UsersOnline too

In the header. However, if i copy the variable from forumhome, postbit etc. into the header nothing is displayed. How do I display such information in the header?
